This report presents a critical view of the Digital Services Act, a directive by the European Union to regulate digital platforms. The report calls for the reconsideration of the status of digital platforms, which are considered to be passive hosts. The report instead proposes to assign to them an intermediary legal status, halfway between that of host and that of publisher.
