The Fondation Descartes is a citizen-based, non-partisan, and independent European foundation dedicated to information-based issues.

Operations and Governance

The Fondation Descartes is structured around three main bodies: a board of directors chaired by Jean-Philippe Hecketsweiler; a scientific advisory board led by Gérald Bronner; and a permanent team headed by Laurent Cordonier, director of research.

List of resources regarding fake news and conspiracy theories. This page, powered by lelivrescolaire.fr, a collective of teachers that publishes various textbooks, offers a set of video or game-based resources, articles and tools to learn about disinformation. The page also offers a series of media education brochures provided by lelivrescolaire.fr.

Harmony Square – by DROG and the University of Cambridge

A media literacy game meant to educate individuals about political disinformation. This project is led by Roozenbeek and Van Der Linden, two researchers from Harvard’s psychology department who have created other similar games alongside the company DROG.
